We all know, more than anything, that a wedding is beautiful because of the love between two people. On December 19th, 2009 we had the pleasure of providing our catering and event design services for Julissa’s wedding at the Darlington House in La Jolla, CA. We had a guest list of about 90 people, so we decided to use our well known “presented buffet” as a means of showcasing our dinner service. Chef Harold executed a flawless presentation of our mouth-watering Salmon En Croute, our Chianti Braised Black Angus Beef and our Portabella Mushroom Ravioli. Food, music, dancing and a fantastic time was had by everyone who was in attendance. This was not our first time hosting an event at this well known estate. Working closely with our vendors, we were able to provide an experience that blew away our client’s every expectation. It is very important to our company to provide the client with a unique and specialized experience to fulfill their special day.
On December 17, 2009, we had the pleasure of donating, and helping to organize, a full holiday meal at the YWCA in San Diego. At times, listening to their keynote speakers and their difficult stories, I found myself in tears thinking about my own wife and daughter and putting myself in their shoes. We try to do so many good things in this company but to see the looks on those faces, in times of need, was a truly inspirational experience. We all, even some of our families, gladly donated our time and effort to be a part of this wonderful experience. I would like to thank everyone, from the bottom of my heart, that was involved in helping make this wonderful event happen, and send out hopes and prayers to all the those in need during these “dark hours” as one speaker so bluntly put it. “But there is a light inside us all!” HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!

On December 20th, 2009 we operated a Christmas party at Coronado Community Center for the prestigious Ascent real-estate company. Providing a guest list of over 275 individuals, we decided to use an Indian theme this year for the event. Food, music, and fun were had by all. This was not our first year hosting an event, for this well known company, and thanks to our services and qualified staff, we are happy to admit that we more often than not have returning customers. Most important to our company is to provide the client with a unique and specialized experience to fit their every need.

On December 19th, 2009, we hosted a Christmas party at a private residence in Carlsbad. To add more interest to this holiday party, our client had decided to go with a Mexican feast rather than the typical holiday meal. The food was superb and beautifully presented. In addition, the appetizers were also delicious and plentiful. The dinner was extremely authentic, and provided the guests with a non-traditional holiday celebration. Designing a menu for every occasion, we really strive to meet the client’s needs. Our superb and professional staff allowed the event to run so smoothly that our clients are still raving about it. Everything went without a hitch, and we are grateful for the trust our client had given to us and their choice in using our services again. Our mission has always been to make every single event pleasantly unforgettable for our clients, as well as improving our services every time.

On Friday December 11, 2009, we’ve hosted a Christmas party in the Culy Trucking Warehouse. This wonderful venue is located on 7th Avenue in Downtown San Diego. What a marvelous turnout. The food product provided by The Abbey Catering has always been made according to our specifications from fresh ingredients, pleasantly presented, and enjoyed by our guests. Most important to us, and our guests, is that our company and its staff do our job from the heart. We are always concerned about the customer and about how we can improve on what we do best; our food and service. As a result, we have many repeat customers.

11.26. 2009 Second year in the row we did Thanksgiving dinner for the San Diego Police Association. All of the Officers that were on duty that night, along with their families, were invited to this delicious feast and celebration. The whole event went flawless. Can’t really count how many compliments I got that night, again, big success. From many people I heard over and over again that they hoped for the same cater as last year. On behalf of the whole Abbey Team I would like to say THANK YOU, we very much appreciate all of their hard work and putting their life on the line. This is least we can do!
