March 30th, 2010 >> Other, Preferred Venues, Weddings

This couple chose the Beautiful and Original Cabrillo National Monument for their ceremony. Sitting just above the beach on the pristine hillside, this was the perfect setting for a perfect day. On March 27, 110 guests not only enjoyed the beautiful views of the ocean and the spring breeze, but also the Bride and Groom’s new beginning. The reception was held after in the Thursday Club located in Point Loma. DJ Randy kept the celebration rolling and everyone had the time of their life. This couple brought uniqueness with the variety of five different cakes provided by Extraordinary Desert. I think the name says it all.

Shaken Not Stirred Salad Station

The Grand Opening of Spa MD in La Jolla was “Awesome”. Beautiful people, great food, dancing, mingling, everything that you would expect from a grand re-opening of a Spa in La Jolla. Although Spa MD is most definitely not your typical Spa. From massages to cosmetic surgery, you have ALL the options available to you. I was so happy to see the “Shaken, Not Stirred Salad Station” in full effect. I spoke with many guests and I was SO proud to hear that the originality and customization of a simple salad station with a twist had such a big impact on everyone. We’ve done many different things and are always experimenting with the most popular and modern trends, that it was really neat to see it pay off with a crowd that is typically more difficult to please than most. With any type of salad combination this is truly a unique and original take on a service that mostly goes unnoticed. Well Done Team!!!

A refreshing start to an elegant reception.

Nestled in the beautiful Mt. Woodson Castle, this delightful wedding and reception was held on March 13th. With California’s perfect weather, this wedding benefited from the convenience of indoor and outdoor amenities.   With a bridal party dressed in black, white, and red, the ceremony took place under a gorgeous sky, while the reception, dance floor, and bar were located through the adjoining indoor room. Catered for nearly 100 guests, each table was elegantly set with white linens, red and white rose center pieces that were as inviting as the castle’s roaring fireplace.  The bride and groom were beyond ecstatic with the outcome of the entire evening. There is nothing more satisfying than a perfectly happy bride and groom!

On March 6, 2010 following an immaculate ceremony at the stunning Immaculata Church, Abbey Catering provided the bride and groom Limousine service to the reception hosted at the Thursday Club in Point Loma. The traditional reception embraced colors of Champaign and gold and encompassed a sit down dinner with choreographed service. Every aspect of this wedding was exquisitely detailed from beginning to end, starting with golden chivarri chairs, beautiful rose center pieces on the tables, satin linens with satin napkins, and a candy bar. Catered for nearly 200 people, this wedding embraced the perfect blend of tradition and class.
